i am trying to impersonate user by having them authenticate using their windows logon. the problem is i get object reference not set to the instance ... error when trying to connect to sql server which is on other machine in same domain that the authenticated user has access to. and also the logon pop up only appears for my firefox and it doesn't even ask for a logon authentication for IE 7. the problem i am having is with IIS 6.0 is not forwarding the credentials to the Sql server. How do i get to Fwd the Credentials.
On IIS 6.0 side i have used integrated windows authentication and cleared all the other check boxes,
the solution i found was , if i used a fixed a/c for impersonation , it works but i would like to have specific user get access to sql based on their rights
