I am trying to implement a simple webpage that gives the user timely business information, but cannot figure out how to update a label when the page loads. The label should be the number of rows returned from an sql query. The label is updated properly every 60 seconds when a timer event binds data, but when the user hits F5 to refresh and load the page, the label goes blank until the next timer event. The webpage works fine when the user doesn't hit F5, but when he/she does, the label goes blank. Do I need to put something in the page_load event?
Let's use a simple example of a New Jersey turnpike toll booth. Every 60 seconds I want to know how many cars have been waiting more than 5 minutes to pass through the booth.
