'dbo.aspnet_CheckSchemaVersion'

I've been using the login control with no problems over the past year or so. Yesterday i went to create a new website and new webform, renamed it Login.aspx droped a login control on the page and then opened the ASP.net configurator enabled forms auth and created a role and user like normal then ran the page it works no problems, however if i upload it to the webserver and navigate to the url and try and login im greeted with a error: Could not find stored procedure 'dbo.aspnet_CheckSchemaVersion'.  obviously there is stored prodecure missing however im not using any different db other than the aspnet.mdf that is created when you load the login control and enable forms auth and create a new user. so there for im unable to run the aspnet_regsql tool on the aspnet.mdf. also ive made sure the actuall db is on the webserver. any suggesttions?
