Long ago I created a Customized Profile provider in web.config in order to add some custom properties to each user stored via the Membership object in ASP.NET 2.0.  Everything seemed to be working fine (in my VS2008 development environment) until I tried deploying the app onto a Win 7 server running IIS 7.5.
As much of my Profile related code is stored in static classes within a non-web DLL that I call "BusinessObjects", the references to ProfileCommon just didn't work.  After much research I landed upon this article.  I reconstructed everything as per the article and got everything working fine within the VS2008 environment.  But once again, when I tried things out with the deployed version, it failed.
So I'm beginning to wonder if something major has changed and what I'm trying to do is impossible now?
