ListView e.NewValues

 I have lost a week worth of work on this listview control because I can't seem to pass my EditItemTemplate edited values to the ItemUpdating event handler.  I expected that this control would be nice and reliable but It is a nightmare!!!!!
I have searcher through the eventargs and can't see my edited values anywhere.  Please help.
