MySQL Membership Provider issue

Hi all,


I managed to set up the membership and roles providers for MySQL using the MySQL .NET Connector. I got the mysql tables for membership and roles autogenerated, managed to add users and roles from the Website Administration tool, but now I have a very strange problem: if I user the CreateUserWizard control (absolutely no customization - just dragged it to the webform) everything works fine. The user is created and I can see it in my mysql table.
on the other hand I tried using the Login control to authenticate users and implemented the OnAuthenticate="Login1_Authenticate" event using the code below:
