Linking C# windows form to SQL 2008 EXPRESS R2

Hi,
I have created a form for users to enter data. I originally linked the form to an Access 2007 Database and everything was working perfectly. I now have to link the the application to a SQL 2008 database which is on a remote server and I am having difficulty linking to it. I even had SQL installed on my Desktop to see if that might resolve the problem but it doesn't seem to.
I would like to know how I would go about doing this.
string conn = "Data Source=.\\SQLEXPRESS;Initial Catalog=WIND;Integrated Security=True";
SqlConnection con = new SqlConnection (conn);
I receive an error stating that logon failed for user "ME"
Would appreciate assistance.
