Hey everyone - sorry I know this is going to be a lame post but I'm just getting back into the programming side of things:
I'm currently creating a web site in ASP.net 2.0 (vb backend). I'm having some trouble with my "Drop Down Box" controls, as I have referenced them to a SQL database, the referencing is perfectly fine / I can build the project fine, its when I change the value in the box and attempt to insert it back over to SQL i can't find a way to get the DataValueField I used when I built the drop down boxes.
For a quick example:
I have a drop down that is referencing my SQL database -- its referencing a Names table and what i show in the drop down is the following.
Name | peopleID
- Bob | 1
- Mary | 2
- Joe | 3
