In dynamic drop down list, dynamic SelectedIndexChanged change does not work properly

Hi,
I have created a dynamic drop down list and attached an event SelectedIndexChanged dynamically, and this event calls sub program "protected void abc(object sender, EventArgs e)".
This sub program assigns the selected value of drop down list to a dynamic label control. This label displays same value as was selected in the drop down list but when i assing value of drop down list to a variable then it assigns its  previous value. but i want its current selected value .Please help me to solve this issue.
