Hi I have a question about security, authentication and authorization. In my project i can't use default sql membership provider because I have to use my DB struucture. So my question is: is there any difference between making my own membership provider or making it all on my own without using create user wizard and login tool? I have no problem to make a couple of text boxes, than save data into db and when the user is loging in i will check his name and pass and than call FormsAuthentication.RedirectFromLoginPage() to authenticate him. And than because my page is using webservices via jQuery to be very dynamic, so there won't be any problem with authorization, I can simply check before any request if the user has rights to doo that with Page.User.Identity.Name and DB again.
So please if you can post your opinion and advatages and disadvantages of both solutions. Thanks
