When to use classes,methods,properties?

Experts!
I am into learning phase of C# . I have a situation.
I have a user profile page where i have to give the provision of edit and update details.
Now i can do this in two ways:
Firstly i'll create a procedure with update query
Now the two ways
1st way. In aspx.cs file , Call the procedure using ado.net and provide the appropriate parameteres and then execute the procedure.
2nd way. In .cs file , Create a class with properties which are the fields to be submitted.
create a method
write the ado.net code and call the procedure
create object of this class in aspx.cs file
fill the properties with the values to be submitted in aspx.cs file
call the method in aspx.cs file

2nd way is lengthy but Which is better way and why. or is there any other best way please tell me.
