Best Way to define created and build web page and controls

we have a admin page where admin can select the controls and the associated datatype that must be displayed in a web page for a user.  After saving the defined controls in database is there any option like templates or binding to build the pages.
Currently we use ashx, webmethods to call the server methods to generate pages. But is there any alternative approach?
