Hi all,
Would just like to enquire about the difference in concept between utilising a PostBackURL to navigate to a page in comparison to the use of the Response.Redirect command within the Click event handler.
I have a simple form (to write to a database), containing the usual buttons for submission and cancellation. Currently, I have chosen to use the Response.Redirect method on the Cancel button to bring me back to the previous page.
However, the cancel button fails to work anymore once validation controls are placed on the page. Clicking the cancel button activates the validation control (which is not the behavior I am interested in) rather than to send me back to the previous page should those fields fail the validation checks. Is there a way to have the cancel button bypass the validation and work in the way it should?
Thanks in advance.
