I've got a weird problem. I don't even know how to explain it or where to go for possible help, but I'll give it a shot:
My localhost/dev box is Windows 7/IIS 7.5, I have Visual Studio 2010 and 2012 both, I have 2 code bases, the 2010 projects/sites and the 2012 ones that started as clean 2012 projects but with the code pasted in from the 2010 projects.
Some of my sites look different locally vs when I publish to a couple of different servers, the sites look the same server to server (one is 2008/iis7, the other 2008 R2/iis7.5)
2012 runs IIS express, but I've changed it to local iis7.5 with no change.
both local box and the servers have .NET 4.5, the 2010 projects are build against .NET 3.5, the 2012 against 4.5.
my coworker shows the same problem, he has essentially the same dev box.
So the problem/question is: why do some of my sites look one way locally, but look different when I publish to web servers?& ...
