if i = j; j = 5 then why i <> 5??? how to achive this.

hey please suggest me technique if i want to achive following ...
dim i as integer dim j as integer i=j j=5 'here we know that j is assign by value 5 but i want to assign j variable to i variable by referance (NOT to assing j variable value) like if any changes make in j variable then automatic that changes found in i variable.. (something like pointer in c or c++)
