The connection has timed out

Is there a log that will let me know why I'm getting "The connection has timed out"?
The web site points to this log file:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\Logfiles\W3SVC1\ex130718.log
It only shows this entry:
 GET /ShowDiary.asp 500
That file is there and available.
Does anyone have any ideas what I can do to fix this?
