download a doc, edit and upload in an aspx page

I am trying to keep a word doc in an aspx page. That doc is like a template , so should be able to download edit and then uplaod.
 Do we have anything to downlaod the file rather than the gridview.

I have seen examples in the opposite like upload and then download.
