Passing data between forms

I am venturing into web application development from winforms. Things are going well, but I have become a bit confused about 1 topic.
In passing Data between forms I know you could
Querystrings Use server.transfer method and access previous page controls in various ways such as making some public getters on the source page or using the findcontrol method. Store what your passing in session state and access it from there on the destination page. I have also noticed though with server.transfer some people tell you to use Context.
