validation in asp,net

hi,
I am new user of asp.net. i have two text boxes and where date come from javascript in mm/dd/yyyy format.
i want to check second date should be grater than first date
compare validation use but i think it use yyyy/mm/dd check but i want that date should be only in mm/dd/yyyy is their any process to check in this format.
