I'm a newbie to web development and to Visual Web Developer 2010 Express. I just started using asp.net last week and still learning the terminology. I haven't found a posting explaining how to do this in VWD 2010 Express, so if there is one, please kindly direct me.
Here's what I'm trying to do:
using visual basic code
One list, say DropDownList1 DDL1, has :
data source = sql table "PubCodeInfo" and
data field to display = "PubCode" column
User selects PubCode 'WSJ' from the DDL1
This action fills the values for DDL2 that shows the column SubscriberType from the table PubCodeInfo using the sql : select * from [PubCodeInfo] where PubCode = [selected value from DDL1]
How can I do this? I think I need Enable AutoPostBack on DDL1.
