I am in the process of restoring my crashed domain controller, running Windows Server 2008 r2. I am trying to install the instance of SQL Server Express 2005 that is included with Symantec's Backup Exec v12.5. The installation of SQL Server fails with this
error:
Could not open key: UNKNOWN\Components\A082AC7BA846AF744BDCB8968E8B1FFE\EE3C5F35DE50038499B4052B0F5DF0EC. System error 5. Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support personnel.
Error Number : 1402
When I try to modify the permissions of that key to grant the Administrator full control, access is denied, nor can I delete the key or otherwise modify it.
