Can someone explain the steps involved in accepting credit cards on an ASP.NET site. I want to create my own shopping cart app and feel I can achieve this mostly on my own. I have seen several ecommerce sites or apps that provide "turn-key" solutions with
a shopping cart included. However, I dont want shopping cart software.
Suppose I created my own shopping cart and when the customer clicks a check out button, it totals the items in the cart. Is there software and a service that I can purchase to only handle this part of the transaction? In other words, is there some sort of
class file that I can pass the total and all required information to that will handle the financial side of the transaction only?
