Hello all,
I am having some trouble and could use some help with Windows Impersonation.
We are running a classic ASP script that is protected by Windows Authentication. After an anonymous user has logged in, they can sit with an open browser window for days and are never prompted to re-login and can operate freely.
I have a new dotNet utility that attempts to retrieve the current Windows Identity (gathered from the previous Windows authentication) and can do so correctly. However, if the user leaves their dotNet application window open for a long time, then the script can no longer retreive the Windows Identitiy. It seems like it expires much quicker than the protected classic ASP assets.
Here is what I got in the dotNet application:
 ==========
Dim myEmailBody As String = String.Empty Dim impersonationContext As System.Security.Principal.WindowsImpersonationContext Dim currentWindow ...
