I have tried two ways of creating a CSV/XLS file but whilst both export the lead 0 in a colum with speech marks (and I can see them in notepad) excel still drops them
Attempt one - standard create file and add in a string...
vDataRowOkay = CharacterCheckValid(datarow("EmployeeID")) str.Append(Chr(34) & vDataRowOkay & Chr(34) & ",")
Excel opens this without any errors if a CSV file or says it is non-standard if saved as an XLS file and drops the zeros from being visible.
Attempt Two
Default.aspx.vb
Imports System.Data.SqlClient Imports System.Data Imports System.IO Partial Class _Default Inherits System.Web.UI.Page Private myCommand As SqlCommand Private myDataSet As DataTable Private myConnection As SqlConnection Private conn As String = ConfigurationManager.Conne ...
