It is a new installatiion and I can not connect to the Database Engine. I have tried (local), SQL EXPRESS, SQLEXPRESS, and MSSQL10. The installation named the instance as "SQLexpress", but that doesn't work either. I am using WINDOWS
7 (64). The configuration reports that "SQL Server Browser" is stopped, "SQL Server(SQLEXPRESS)" is running (I have enabled all pipes and such), and "SQL Server Agent(SQLEXPRESS)" is stopped. The installation was clean except a warning "C:\program
files(X86) Microsoft SQLServer\90\shared needs security settings". What should I do now?
