I have created msi that will register my activex control on client side.I am using IE 9 and IIS 7. I have created a cab file (AX.cab) that includes an .inf file, .msi file. Sample code to create cab file is as below..:
CABARC.EXE N AX.CAB AXSETUP.MSI AX.INF
code of my ax.inf file is :
[version] signature="$CHICAGO$" AdvancedINF=2.0 [Setup Hooks] hook1=hook1 [hook1] run=msiexec.exe /i "%EXTRACT_DIR%\AXSetup.msi" When I browse MY HTML page using file system like "D:\test\ActiveWebPage.HTML" then IE prompts for installation of my msi file. but when i hosted it on IIS server it failed. What is an exact issue. I have already added my website as trusted one by IE->Tool->IE Option-> Security->Trusted site-> add my site. and at custom level I have enabled "Initializing and Scripting activex controls not marked as safe for scripting. Looking forward to it.
Thanks Anki ...
