Strong coding, poor design, how to change the desing of your website while all coding tasks are done

I am working on my final semester project, which is a classified Ad site that i am using Asp.Net and C# 4.0 to build. I have implemented strong validation and layered architecture coding pattern with all recommended software engineering practices. The only draw back i see is the design of my website. I admit i am not proved a good designer. Now that, i have done almost 80 percent of work, i am thinking about changing the whole design. Honestly speaking, i made searches for ready-made templates that could meet my requirements but could not find one. I see thousand of free online templates that anyone can use, and my university administration has also permitted me to use ready-made design if other stuff like coding is my own done. I dont know but i think there must be some template generators because if making templates were a hard job those sites would not offer free templates.
