MS Access database and drop down list

How to retrieve values from the MS Access database, on the basis of selected value in a drop down list?
e.g.
if i select "cat" in a dropdown list , then all records should be retrieved where animal="cat".
similarly if i select "cow" in a dropdown list then all records where animal="cow" should be retreived .
where "animal" is a column name in a table.
