How to create a.net 2.0 table dynamiclly

I would like to create a .net table dynamically in the code behind file. I do not want to bind the table to any data. In the table cells I want to place text, link buttons and images.

I am building a forum for my web site. Look at this web sites page:

In the Last post column there are two links and some text. Each is on its own line.

Could someone explain how this is done? Does anyone know of any tutorials showing how to add tables, rows and cells dynamiclly and how to connect events to them.
