Our corporate Intranet was created by an employee who died before I started. Parts of the intranet are complete and function, others are dead-ends with greeked type. We have just received the computer he used at home as well as the external hard-drive from
his home computer (where he worked on everything because he had cancer) There is no one in-house that has an ounce of asp.net experience. It has fallen to me because I manage corporate communications (old-school print and new-school web). This is a family
owned business and does not have tons of resources to bring in outside consultants to figure this out. Because of the situation, there is no pressure and lots of understanding on the part of ownership, but I need to come up with course of action.
Where do I even begin? I know what server the intranet runs off and have found most of the files called on by the intranet (pdfs, excel files, docs and txt files. jpeg etc...)
Any help/guidance will be really apprec ...
