I am in process of creating setup file for my application(ASP.NET) with sql server as database.
During application(asp.net application) installation process I need to install named instance of SQL server and pass the parameter like username password(which are required for sql server instance) progammatically. Is it possible.
Also, do we need to have complete sql server setup for installing SQL server named instance.
Currently, I am using SQL Express edition. Want to know if I have sql server 2012(not express edition) with 5 licence, then installing named instance will be calculate as one licence(if there is one default instance and one named instance
then the licence used will be 2 or 1).
