How to implement index in sql express to gain better performance

Hello All,
I have two tables defined as below:
Table1
Table1_ID T1A bigint nvarchar Table2
Table2_ID T2A T2B T2C T2D bigint bigint decimal(20,8) blob blob "Unique value column" "Foreign Key to Table1_ID" "Unique value column"
in Table2 i have 2 lakhs of record, i used Database tuning advisor, the recomendation given to add statistics instead of index.
i implmented statistic and also tried with many combination of indexes the query takes lot of time to fetch the data
approximately it take 2min 20 sec in sql express version and 4 sec in MSSql server edition.
But we are using Sql express edition, i need to know how to implement the indexing to gain best performance.
