I tried to upgrade SQL Server Express 2008 to R2, but the installation failed at the Special Features page. It said "There are no valid SQL Server 2008 R2 features to perform this operation."
I could not avoid that page or get past it. I decided to install from scratch instead of upgrade, so I uninstalled every vestige of SQL Server Express. Might as well since it was now totally unusable.
However, I could not uninstall the botched upgrade. It brings up that same page with that same error.
Now what? All operations on the machine are halted until this can be fixed.
Thanks,
