Imagine you have 3 dropdownlist controls representing:
Country State/Province City/Town First the user selects a country, then a state/province, then a city/town.  However, further imagine that the first item in every list is a blank field with a value of "-1".  Given this, if the user changes the country back to 'blank' then the state/province and city/town dropdownlist controls must be both cleared and disabled.
For the country dropdownlist control, I can do this but need to add all the necessary code in its "SelectedIndexChanged" event handler.  However, I would much prefer to only add the code for clearing & disabling the state/province dropdownlist and then be able to call the state/province's own 'SelectedIndexChanged' event handler, which in turn would clear & disable the city/town dropdownlist.
Does that make sense?
Put another way, I'm having to duplicate ...
