I have a weird problem (or else I wouldn't be here). I have a nice website with JQuery animation and using the Membership functionality - kimberlywakeman.com. This is the first time I've tried publishing Membership to production (godaddy), and I'm using
VS2010 and asp.net 4.0.
When I click Login, and choose Register, the register.aspx page comes up. If I leave a textbox blank, like user name, then I get the validation error just fine. However, if I put in a user name that is already registered, such as my own email, then I should
get a message that the user name already exists and to select another, but instead nothing happens when I click the Create User button.
Now, I'm testing this in Chrome and using Chrome's Developer Console. When I hit F12 and click on the one error in the lower right, I see:
