Is the ASP.Net MVC a good option for bulding a online dating?

hi

I am a new in ASP.NET am planining to start learning the language. I also noticed that MVC is going to be a great option to build a site, so in my case should I start learning ASP.NET (C#) first before getting in to MVC or I can just start from MVC in C#?

Thanks for advise
