We have created a custom PageHandlerFactory so we can have both regular and mobile aspx templates for our site (it is legacy - otherwise we would be using razor for sure).
The idea is to have two files where need be
MyPage.aspx
MyPage.mobile.aspx
Our custom PageHandleFactory overrode the GetHandler method and when a mobile.aspx was found would return the handler from PageParser.GetCompiledPageInstance. When a mobile.aspx was not found we simply returned the base.GetHandler.
In any case it works fine and our call to PageParser.GetCompiledPageInstance with the mobile works fine. Until we came across a page with a usercontrol.
In this scenario the PageParser.GetCompiledPageInstance throws an exception caliming that the constructor for the usercontrol is protected and not accessible. It seems the construction of the usercontrols is done differently when using the ...
