I want to search more than one column but with the ability to build my own Filter i.e only add a search for the firstname if there is something in the textbox etc...
I have built mutil-search with Filters and Parameters in the SQL statement but want to do it in on the code on a search button.
I have managed to get it to work for one search term only though
SqlDataSource2.FilterExpression = "EmployeeID like '%" + SrEmployeeID.Text + "%'"
GridView2.DataBind()
and can not get it to work for two, or more i.e.
Dim vSource = "EmployeeID like '%" + SrEmployeeID.Text + "%'"
SqlDataSource2.FilterExpression = vSource & " Userfirstnamelike '%" + srUserfirstname.Text + "%'"
GridView2.DataBind()
Any suggestions welcome.
Error message is:
Syntax error: Missing opera ...
