How to inactive automatically a column after a time period?

Hi, i'm working on onlineshopping policy. When a customer order any quantity product, a trigger reduce the quantity of the product from the Stock table.
How can i automatically inactive order status of a order table and increase the stock amount, after 3 days of a order..
Please help me, giving any working example or link.
