Hi
I have been given a task to improve the performance of a particular ASP.NET web page developed in C#. The page is acccessed throughout the day by more than 200 users and, only for this web page, each postback takes a long time to render back. The page uses
ViewStates and almost every dropdown selection causes postback.
I tried to reduce the postbacks using XMLHTTPRequests but whenever a postback does occur, this data is also lost. This particular page has a lot of controls and a lot of postbacks.
Any suggestions to improve the page? Is using XHR the correct approach?
Thank you!
