Check/Uncheck All CheckBoxList items from client side using javascript or jquery

I am trying to check or uncheck all CheckBoxList items from client side using either javascript or jquery.
The checkboxlist is bound on serverside to a dataset object.
CheckBoxListBusinessUnit.DataSource = bulist;
CheckBoxListBusinessUnit.DataBind();
But I could not find the checkboxlist values (html input tags) when i looked in browser view source and read somwhere that the checkboxlist items gets embedded in VIEWSTATE. So that means Checkbox list items cannot be accessed client side unless I harcode the values in HTML.
Please advise and I dont want to do a server call to Check/Uncheck All checkboxes in the list.
