Could someone give a clear explanation of the settings need to help work through a new website I'm working on?
I'm building a new company intranet site that needs to perform some basic application level validation on the user accessing the pages, but when it needs to make its call to the back end database it needs to do so as the Application Pool identity.
Here are some of the basics:

Build in .Net 4 and VS2012 SQL 2005 database Running on IIS6 Hosted in an Active Directory domain Application Pool within IIS has a specific Domain\Username identity, and this user has the required access to the database.
I have a generic user class and a database access class with heavily parametrized functions to access the data
