We are currently using SQL Server Express 2005 which has a maximum database size if 4GB. In a couple of sites we are very close to the 4GB limit. We'd like to upgrade to SQL Server Express 2008 R2 or SQL Server Express 2012 in order to take advantage of
the increased maximum of 10GB. We are running live sites on Windows Server 2008 (32-bit). We also use Windows 7 Pro (32-bit) machines to test. I've seen statements of the web that although SQL Server Express 2012 can have a 10GB database on the 64-bit
version, the limit is still 4GB on the 32-bit version. I haven't seen this statement for SQL Server Express 2008 R2. Could you please tell me the maximum database size for the 32-bit versions of SQL Server Express 2008 R2 and 2012? Is it 4 or 10GB
Thanks in advance for any assistance you can offer.
