I have a bunch of test boxes and dropdowns in a formview . When retrieving their values i use DropDownList ddlitem = (DropDownList)FormView1.FindControl("ControlID");
Except for one line same form same code
DropDownList ddlscale = (DropDownList)FormView1.FindControl("DropDownList9");
string scale = ddlscale.SelectedValue;
This one says that ddlscale is null.
I did add this dropdown after I had the form saved, but that shouldn't make a difference?
