After spending a day in vain trying to get implicit SSL to work with the SmtpClient, I discovered that the DotNet 4.0 Framework has no support for it.
My question is - will there ever be support for this industry standard in future frameworks?
If not, does anyone know of a good 3rd party (managed code) module that will work with DotNet that truly supports Implicit SSL on SMTP (port 465)?
