Expose column collection property of Gridview used inside a webusercontrol in default page

I have included a gridview inside a webuser control and exposed the datasource property for binding data to the gridview in the default aspx page in which it is added. Similary i need to view the column collection property of the gridview when I go to the properties of the user control in the page in which the control is added. So that one who inherits my usercontrol can set the datasource and columns to be displayed in datagrid from the property window of the usercontrol. Should allow the user to set the column and also the itemtemplate property.
