Issues with Intellisense

I am working with a user who is having problems getting IntelliSense to work on SSMS 2008 R2 on a Windows 7 machine.   I have tried several things and none have worked.   Would anyone have some additional suggestions?
Reinstalled SSMS 2008 R2Installed SSMS 2008 R2 SP2Refresh the cached (Edit menu, IntelliSense, Refresh Local Cache)Checked to make sure IntelliSense was enabledMade sure that SQLCMDMode was not enabledMade sure that Visual Studio 2010 was patched to SP1 Granted the user execute permission on master.dbo.xp_instance_regread (user is also db.owner on the database).
