I've been asked by my friend to develop a membership tracking application for his health club. So basically this is what he needs done:
1. New customer arrives at his club (or visits the website)
2. He/she fills out an online registration form
3. Staff verifies his/her ID and grants them full membership status which includes a membership card
4. Every time customer uses the club they will scan his/her membership card and perform different actions to the record
So basically membership tracking by using some sort of a card. I have zero experience in this and would greatly appreciate if somebody could point me in the right direction. From what I understand the card scanner would have to be connected to a PC and I
