{Unable to evaluate expression because the code is optimized or a native frame is on top of the call stack.} exception on thread.abort()

I am getting above exception when i am trying to abort few threads on some condition, internally.
same thing i does on button click, it is working fine but when in the execution time, if i check some condition and try to abort thread, it is throwing execption.
any clue ? normally this problem is related with response.redirect. i could find issue related to that only.
