On VWD2010 I built a web app and used the toolbox controls for membership: CreateNewuserWizard, Login, LoginStatus, LoginView. I put the LoginView and the LoginStatus in a master page. I have restricted one page in web.config to anonymous users. When users click the link, they are of course redirected to the "Login.aspx" page, just as they are when they click "Login" on the LoginStatus control. The login page is in the application's root directory with all other pages.
In my navMenu.ascx control (it resides in a "Controls" folder), also on the master page, all page links are set up as "../Sales.aspx" or "../Admin.aspx" and they work fine, and when they are rendered, the address bar is appended "boatronix.com/Sales.aspx" and so on. But when I go to the login page, either by clicking the "Login" button or by being redirected on clicking link to the restricted page, I get an address bar that is appended "boatronix.com/_sites/boatronix/Sales.aspx" -- this ad ...
